Letter from the President
Dear Family and Friends,
Oranim is preparing for its most thrilling summer yet! We are excited to introduce a new level of adventure and innovative programming at great prices! As the leader in Jewish teen travel since 1986, Oranim offers participants an exhilarating experience while parents have the ease of knowing their children are in the hands of experts.
With clear insight, born of years of experience with this very impressionable age group, we have created programs specially geared to contemporary youth. We strongly emphasize safety and still afford our participants adventure and fun, carefully grounded in experiential learning. Participants in our Israel programs are able to earn community service and college credits.
Oranim offers summer programs that feature Israelis (InsideTM) - "Let Israelis show you Israel". Who better to introduce the beauty of the land of our ancestors than those who call it their home? All our Israel programs offer participants an encounter program with Israeli peers – Mifgash in Hebrew. The cultural exchange is invaluable, and many lasting friendships have been forged as a result of these encounters.
Our Israeli Tour Educators, along with our North American staff, are specially trained to make the trip an enriching, enlightening and entertaining experience.
Oranim provides a non-denominational, pluralistic Jewish atmosphere on all of our programs. Shabbat is celebrated with such rituals as Kiddush and Havdallah, along with activities that strengthen Jewish Identity as well as the connection to the Jewish People and to the State of Israel.
There is no traveling on Shabbat. Oranim's Israel programs are Kosher and Europe programs are Kosher style, with vegetarian options available for both programs. We welcome all Jewish youth and take pride in the Jewish and geographical diversity of participants in our programs.
This summer, give your teen a gift that will continue to enrich his/her life every day to come, one that will build identity, character and strength.
I look forward to welcoming you to the Oranim family!
Shalom!
