Program Description:

Camp Maccabim offers an over-night camp in Israel for our younger participant in a beautiful camp setting. The camp will be held in the Maccabim Village, at the educational center of the Maccabi Movement. The camper will enjoy great sports facilities, wonderful crafts programs, and games and activities that challenge and enrich the participant. This will encourage them to grow socially and Jewishly. Incorporated into this camp experience will be an introduction to our Israeli homeland, including some touring, in an age-appropriate manner.

With specially trained, English speaking counselors, the program will introduce our Israeli homeland by incorporating programming and activities that are both exciting and enticing to their specific age group. This approach will ensure a better understanding and a higher level of absorption with regard to our heritage and people.

The participant will explore places of importance in Israel, making friends, connecting to the Jewish People and to Israel, and learning about his or her Jewish past. Our extraordinary interactive program is inspirational, educational and fun. The program is non-denominational and the participants are not required to belong or join any religious movement.

Each session will incorporate at least 4 days touring in Israel. The tours will include important sites, such as Jerusalem, Massada and activities that will be fun for all, such as an Archeological Dig or floating down the Jordan River in a Kayak.

For those preparing for their Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, special preparatory sessions on the meaning of their Bar and Bat Mitzvah as well as help preparing for the ceremony itself (upon request) will be incorporated into the program.

The sessions are modular, and non-repetitive, so the participant can join the program for up to 3 sessions.

Accommodations are based on 4 participants per room with facilities en-suite. All accommodations are modern and are air-conditioned. Participants will enjoy 24-hour supervision by qualified counselors, 3+ meals a day (kosher), 4 days of touring per 2-week session, access to swimming and sports facilities and a unique program that will strengthen their link to Israel and the Jewish People with interactive programming, songs, stories and activities.
